This was the spark that would grow into the present Hamsap Unit. Yip Siong and Sonia teaching Shunsuke and the japs HAM SAP

Hanabi right after dinner. Is this exciting or what? By the way we get the children's set of fireworks which consists of little Pop Pops, little sparkers, and a mini firework shooter thing.

Around this time, Yip Siong, Yee Jean, Pui Shing and Hui Sin put up a show for Sonia's surprise birthday party and to divert her attention from the two 1.5 kg cakes from SECRET RECIPE which Haow Bin so generously sponsored. Each cake costs about what, RM 80? Now, this is LOVE.

So, Yip Siong was supposed to have offended Pui Shing in some way and Yee Jean and Hui Sin was supposed to shout at him. Pui Shing should then throw a small amount of water from a conveniently placed nearby cup at Yip Siong's face.

Instead, she threw a FULL CUP of water at him. This seriously adds to the realism of the drama. Sonia got so worried that she didn't see me and Hui Jian bringing two large cakes right in front of her.

And so the normal singing and candle blowing process ensued. Mei Ni went ahead to give her present and made Sonia promise to use it right there and then.

Guess what was the present? It probably is the first thing that will come to your mind.

Mmm a nice pink pair of panties from Isetan. Good quality ones at that.

Nothing much occurred in the night except that the Japs saw much of our interesting and amazing Malaysian culture such as singing songs well into the night and gambling.
